We get lots of enquiries about Surcare and our
range of products. Here you can find answers to our most frequently
asked questions.
Is Surcare available in my local supermarket?
Grocery retail buyers have to choose the
optimal range for their chain based on a number of factors, including
store size, turnover and rates of sale. While all the UK major grocery
suppliers support Surcare, there is not always enough shelf space
in all stores - particularly smaller outlets - for the full range.
Please ask in-store if you don’t see the product you need, as they
may be able to get it in for you, or suggest a larger store in your
area. Alternatively, another retailer may stock the Surcare product
you require; please see our section on where you can buy Surcare
or call our Surcare Careline on 0800 096 1641 for more information.
Why don’t other brands have a complete range
of laundry, fabric conditioner and washing up products?
It takes significant research, development
and manufacturing resources to make a wide range of product formats.
Robert McBride Ltd, the manufacturer of Surcare, has immense experience and
extensive resources committed to development and production, enabling
us to bring out a wide product range in many formats.
Why is Surcare unperfumed?
Patch testing of patients in dermatology
clinics shows that some perfume ingredients are common causes
of positive reactions. To avoid such problems, we do not include
perfume in our Surcare products.
How does Surcare still get my clothes and
dishes clean?
We ensure the important ingredients for cleaning
are contained in Surcare products, to give the outstanding results
you should expect. We simply leave out any ingredients and unnecessary
additives from Surcare products that may cause problems for sensitive
skins.
Why should I use Surcare to wash baby’s
and young children’s clothes?
Although baby’s and children’s skin may look
perfect, their delicate skin is sensitive. Their skin may become
easily irritated by the garments they wear, or fabric they come
into contact with that has been washed using products containing
harsh detergents, perfumes and dyes.
Materials washed or treated with dermatologically tested and dermatologist approved Surcare products are less likely to cause any problems with
your baby's delicate skin because all Surcare products are free
from the dyes and perfumes that may cause irritation.
Surcare products only contain ingredients
that are kind to delicate skin, yet still have the outstanding cleaning
performance you need for washing and caring for your family’s clothes.
Is Surcare suitable for everyone?
Many people who find difficulty using other
products can use Surcare successfully. However, people who have
extreme or severe skin conditions should consult their dermatologist
before using any laundry products or other preparations that come
into contact with the skin. For more information, including Surcare
range ingredient details, please call the Surcare Careline on 0800
096 1641, or e-mail us at surcare@mcbride.co.uk.
Have Surcare products been tested on animals?
No. Robert McBride Ltd, the manufacturer of Surcare,
does not test any products on animals. Therefore, you may also be
interested in the other brands we produce, none of which are tested
on animals. These include Elementals, Brio, Springfresh, Clean ‘n’
Fresh, Neon, ‘Q’, Shine, Miraglo, Rapid and Superguard.
