Why?
An allergy is a hypersensitivity to a substance that causes the body to react adversely. Allergic reactions can take the form of itchy skin, watery eyes, itchy eyes and possibly sneezing.

Allergic reactions are caused by direct contact with a surface or substance, and these reactions are called allergic contact dermatitis. Perfumes contained in many household products can often trigger allergic contact dermatitis in susceptible people.

Whilst not an allergy, eczema is a skin condition that can be distressing and uncomfortable, especially for small children. However there are ways of easing the itchiness and irritation of eczema and related conditions.
How?
Layered cotton or silk clothing and bedding are cooler and less 'scratchy' materials than wool or synthetic fibre - and how you wash and treat fabrics can significantly relieve irritation and allergies too.

People concerned about the condition of their family's skin may benefit from washing their clothes in non-biological detergents such as Surcare Automatic non-biological washing powder and tablets or Surcare Automatic non-biological washing liquid. In addition, our Surcare fabric conditioner is excellent for leaving clothes silky soft and easier to iron without added perfume or dyes that could aggravate skin conditions.

Doing the washing-up can take its toll on the skin. People with skin conditions may find Surcare washing-up liquid much kinder to their skin because it doesn't contain any perfume, unnecessary additives or dyes, yet has great cleaning power for doing the dishes.
